    Level: From elementary to advanced

    A funky Japanese teacher, Sachi, will help you study

    Japanese for a month.  Bring any Japanese textbook that you want to use.

    Ask any questions about Japanese, from basic to advanced.

    Sachi will tell you everything about Japanese.

    This is a tutorial class, not lecture. 

     

    What to take: Japanese textbook that you are using, pens, and questions

    Ex) Textbook for the Japanese language proficiency test

    Japanese textbook

        Materials you want to translate to Japanese etc

     

     

    Sachi: Japanese teacher(Finishing 420h of Japanese teacher training courses.

    Gaining her experience of teaching Japanese as a volunteer work at

    the Youth Service Center and the International Community House, she taught

    at the Japanese language schools in Taiwan and Osaka.

    Loves physical expression like belly dance and capoeira, and traveling to India and Brazil!!

    Sachi teaches you the useful Japanese in our daily lives and how to communicate in

    Japanese in an enjoyable way! She also supports those of you who would like to learn

    Japanese from the beginning or who have any problem about Japanese.

    She currently teaches Yoga at the studio and café in Kyoto City.

    International Anusara-inspired yoga teacher Mark Shveima will present a series of lectures designed to lay the groundwork for the study of tantric yoga cosmogony and meditation, will present a series of lectures designed to lay the groundwork for the study of tantric yoga and meditation. These ancient teachings evolved out of the desire for householders to pursue the path of enlightenment while remaining firmly entrenched in relationship
    with family, friends, and the global community. Mark’s talks will offer concepts and practices that can be applied to your own life immediately to assist you in the evolution of your own life path. Each session will include a meditation practice. All levels of seekers are welcome.

    Mark Shveima
    Mark Shveima has been practicing hatha yoga since 1996. In 2004 he was introduced to Anusara Yoga®, which combines elegant alignment principles with a Tantric philosophy that emphasizes the empowerment of the heart. Since 2005, he has completed over a dozen trainings with John Friend, the founder of Anusara®. In 2008 he completed a year-long immersion with renowned tantric scholar Paul Muller-Ortega, where-in he was initiated into the Kashmir Shaivite-based Nilakantha lineage of meditation and scriptural study. Mark is known for his inspirational teaching, and unwavering commitment to serve. He is grateful for every student, and takes delight in bearing witness to the unfolding of greatness within each and every one.

    Kyoto Golden Week Yoga Retreat with Lucy Roberts
    May 2 – 5, 2009

    4 days/3 nights staying at Shunkoin Temple, within the Myoshinji Temple
    complex, East Kyoto www.shunkoin.com.

    Retreat includes twice daily yoga & meditation, a tour of the temple and
    surrounds by the resident abbot with a guided introduction to Zen, delicious
    vegetarian food, and a day trip and mountain temple walk from Kifune to
    Kuramayama, followed by rotenburo (outdoor bath) at Kuramayama Onsen.
    There’ll be plenty of free time for rest and contemplation, or to explore the
    stunning Arashiyama area of East Kyoto, with it’s bamboo forest, incredible
    shrines, temples, gardens, and river and mountain walks.

    To practice yoga and meditation in this beautiful temple complex, where
    thousands before us have done the same, is a rare and precious opportunity.
    Away from the buzz of the city, we have the chance to rest and to soften
    into the silence and stillness of our own divine Being and to listen more
    closely to the wisdom of the Heart (silent periods will help us feel deeper

    Lucy Roberts


    Lucy works with Louisa Sear on Yoga Arts Internationally accredited Teacher Training Courses, is a regular guest teacher on Sun & Moon Teacher Training Courses in Tokyo, and teaches classes, workshops, and retreats internationally.
    Lucy has been practising for twelve years and teaching for eight. Her style is fluid, feminine, intuitive and creative, blending traditional yoga asana with classical Indian dance mudras, and the natural spirallic movements of spontaneous free dance. Studying craniosacral bodywork has informed her teaching and practice, which moves from the inside out to find spaciousness
    and ease, and a meditative presence grounded in silence, even amidst challenging asana.
    Lucy is passionate about yoga as a tool for transformation and awakening, reaching far beyond the mat into every corner and moment of life.Born in Australia but home 'on the road', she currently lives between Byron Bay, Japan, S.E. Asia and India.
