Lucy Roberts YOGA RETREAT!!! in Myoshinji Temple Kyoto

Kyoto Golden Week Yoga Retreat with Lucy Roberts
    May 2 – 5, 2009

4 days/3 nights staying at Shunkoin Temple, within the Myoshinji Temple
    complex, East Kyoto www.shunkoin.com.

Retreat includes twice daily yoga & meditation, a tour of the temple and
surrounds by the resident abbot with a guided introduction to Zen, delicious
vegetarian food, and a day trip and mountain temple walk from Kifune to
Kuramayama, followed by rotenburo (outdoor bath) at Kuramayama Onsen.
There’ll be plenty of free time for rest and contemplation, or to explore the
stunning Arashiyama area of East Kyoto, with it’s bamboo forest, incredible
shrines, temples, gardens, and river and mountain walks.

To practice yoga and meditation in this beautiful temple complex, where
thousands before us have done the same, is a rare and precious opportunity.
Away from the buzz of the city, we have the chance to rest and to soften
into the silence and stillness of our own divine Being and to listen more
closely to the wisdom of the Heart (silent periods will help us feel deeper
into this). To go on retreat is a beautiful way to take time out from the
busy-ness of life, to revive and inspire your practice, to make space for
creativity and be blessed with inspiration, and to feel the support of a
    loving, nurturing yoga community.

Lucy will teach in English & basic Japanese with full Japanese translation
by the very lovely & talented Yuko Iwasaki.

Retreat Cost: 72,000 yen includes all accommodation, 5-7hrs/day yoga &
meditation instruction & play, brunch & dinner daily, transport and lunch
during Kuramayama outing, temple tour and Zen instruction (with matcha and
sweet to follow), plus a welcome pack with various goodies to help you enjoy
    your stay.
